This brought several voices and perspectives together to just write about how someone else can be so important to you, being the light you need to find your way through dark times. Further, commenting that there are little spots of light everywhere in this rather dark world.
lyrics
Little fires everywhere
Who would've thought you'd be involved
You showed me a side of the world
That ain't so dark, ain't so dark
You pick all the right words
I'm in awe
I know how your mind works
I'm in awe
And I saw you silent, passenger side and
Playing with your hair I know you're deep in thought
You crack a joke and
Gave it a moment, now you're heating up
And the pressure is gone
I admire you, you're a candlelight
You handle all this pain yet you shine
Beauty in the pain, beauty in the rain
The thought of you just keeps me sane
You inspire me, you amaze me
Guiding the way through this maze of mystery
Little fires everywhere who knows what's involved
I don't want to stay the same
Promise I'll be honest about the pain
I don't want to stay the same
It's cold, cold in Boston's snow, no more
So long

saw Thundercat for the first time recently - truly a GOAT of live performers. this album is him in his most honest, focused, and emotional state, and it beautifully intertwines his silly artistic voice with his stories of struggle and loss. the album is short and sweet - BUT, if you want to see him and his friends jam a little longer on these ideas, definitely see him live. the dude literally practices like Coltrane and it shows. zilla
